Casino revenue up in Maryland
The latest figures show that revenue increased 14 per cent during June operations.
US.- According to the latest results released by the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Commission, casino revenue increased 14 per cent to US$149 million during June operations, compared to the same period last year.
From the US$149 million collected in June, slot machine revenue posted an impressive performance as it increased 16 per cent year-on-year to US$93.7 million, while table games reported a revenue rise of 11 per cent to US$55.2 million.
MGM National Harbor was once again the top revenue scorer in the state, as it generated US$59.3 million in earnings, an 18.3 per cent increase when compared to June 2017. As the state regulator revealed, MGM ’s 2961 slot machines and 180 table games totalled 40 per cent of all casino revenue collected in Maryland last month.
Moreover, Live! Casino & Hotel also experienced good results in June, with a 15.1 per cent increase to US$48.1 million, while Ocean Downs Casino generated US$7.2 million in revenue in June – a 29.8 per cent increase.
