Casino revenue up 6.1% in Maryland
During February, revenue from Maryland’s six casinos was up 6.1 per cent year-on-year to US$136.6 million.
US.- Maryland Lottery and Gaming revealed its February figures on Tuesday and reported a 6.1 per cent casino revenue boost. According to the report, three of the state’s six venues saw their earnings grow, reaching a total of US$136.6 million statewide.
Posting revenue for US$53.1 million, MGM National Harbor was the highest revenue generator, up 16 per cent from a year ago. Live Casino in Hanover came in second with a 1.5 per cent growth to reach US$47 million. Meanwhile, Ocean Downs Casino saw a 22.4 per cent increase, and the Eastern Shore casino reported nearly US$5 million in revenue.
At the other end of the scales, Horseshoe Casino Baltimore’s revenue dipped 2.7 per cent to a US$21.4 million revenue, while Hollywood Casino Perryville’s was down 5.3 per cent to US$5.9 million, and Rocky Gap Casino Resort’s numbers fell 4 per cent to US$4.2 million.
