Casino Forum Batumi celebrated its 2016’s edition
The summer event covered many crucial topics regarding the regulation of Adzharia’s gambling operations, new developmental opportunities and market expansion.
Georgia.- The Leogrand Hotel in Georgia opened its doors to start the Casino Forum Batumi 2016 and put the Republic of Georgia in the iGaming spotlight. The Batumi Casino brought together the brightest minds in the gambling industry for a conference in Ajara. Investors, business people, managers and casino owners converged from all over the world to discuss the development of gambling in the Georgian province.
The Casino Forum Batumi 2016 Conference gathered not only many foreign and local industry inventors and other key figures in the gambling business, but also Adzharia law representatives and policy makers who directly deal with legislative regulation and general gambling issues in the republic.
Smile Expo hosted the event in which Minister Bolkvadze discussed the positive impact of iGaming in his opening speech, whilst mapping this impact within the Batumi regional economy. He also tackled the topic of barriers to the expansion of regulated gambling in Georgia. Other key speakers were: Teona Shiukashvili, the representative of the Georgian Revenue Service who provided details about the gambling business taxation and licensing in Adjara region; Helmut Wede, an expert in casino management issues who presented his opinion regarding management processes in the gaming industry and how to successfully implement his projects; Dimitar Muhovski, Project Manager of Systems at Casino Technology, who spoke about casino management systems and how to optimise the gaming world.
At dinner, participants were able to interact directly with speakers to adapt their strategies for effective operation in Georgia and the surrounding economic area, distinguished at this point for its favourable investment climate, liberal legislation and competent visa policy.
