California voters to decide on sports betting at tribal casinos
Over 1 million Californians signed a petition to add sports betting at tribal casinos and race tracks to the November 2022 election.
US.- Voters wil decide on the November 2022 election ballot whether to allow tribal casinos and racetracks in California to offer sports betting.
More than 1 million people signed a petition to get the possibility added to the ballot for the 2022 gubernatorial election.
The initiative would actually allow tribal casinos to expand gambling operations to include classic roulette and dice games as well as sports betting.
Privately operated horseracing tracks in four counties in the state would also be cleared to allow on-site betting if voters back the proposal.
The initiative has been pushed by the federally recognised Native American tribes. State lawmakers had already tried to get the expanded gambling initiative on the ballot at last year’s presidential election.
