California tribe to operate new casino
The tribe will open a new casino with 75 slot machines later this month.
US.- La Jolla tribe has revealed that it will open the La Jolla Trading Post & Casino, with 75 slot machines later this month. The facility will join a gas station and a market that already features low prices, in order to attract more consumers.
The 5,000 square foot facility will be separated and the casino will occupy approximately half of it While the number of slot machines is lower than other properties in the area, it seems like it can be profitable for the 700 members of the tribe.
La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians CEO Skye McMichael told The Roadrunner that they see this casino as another tribal enterprise adding to their economic potential. “It’s not going to be a huge facility, but kind of a place where you can stop and fill up at a gas station that has some of the lowest prices around and do a little gambling. We’re going to have a community feeling.”
