Caesars expands WSOP Online poker platform to Pennsylvania
The poker app now combines player pools from Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
US.- Caesars Entertainment has announced the expansion of the WSOP Online poker platform to pool liquidity in Pennsylvania with Nevada, New Jersey, and Michigan. The company says it’s the only online poker operator to share liquidity across four US jurisdictions (for now – other operators may follow).
The inclusion of Pennsylvania in the pool comes after governor Josh Shapiro signed an agreement to allow the state to become the sixth member of the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement (MSIGA) for poker. Pennsylvania joins New Jersey, Nevada, Delaware, West Virginia and Michigan and becomes the largest state in a shared market that now covers a population of over 38 million.
The move is expected to expand the pool of interstate online poker players by more than 50 per cent as there are an estimated 150,000 online poker players in Pennsylvania. The expansion will also afford larger prize pools without requiring an increase in buy-in amounts.
Danielle Barille, vice president of online poker at Caesars Entertainment, said: “The addition of the Pennsylvania player pool to WSOP Online comes at the perfect time, and we’re ready to give avid poker players in The Keystone State the opportunity to raise the stakes on their poker play. This expansion enhances the experience for players by building even greater prize pools that are up for grabs all summer long as a part of our jam-packed WSOP Online schedule. We’re ready to see who earns our largest online prize pools ever once the first hands are dealt this summer.”
Meanwhile, the 2025 WSOP Online Bracelet schedule kicks off on May 31. The final event will begin on July 15. In 2025, WSOP Online will introduce an Online Bracelet Leaderboard, offering over $30,000 in prizes. There will be 30 bracelet events coinciding with the 56th annual World Series of Poker (WSOP), which will be held for the fourth consecutive year at Paris Las Vegas and Horseshoe Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip.
