Boyd Gaming launches digital wallet solution
Boyd’s digital wallet will initially be launched at three properties but the company plans to install it at every venue by summer.
US.- Boyd Gaming Corporation has launched its new BoydPay digital wallet solution, which offers a cashless option to customers at its casinos.
BoydPay, made in partnership with Aristocrat Technologies, will initially be launched at three properties: Blue Chip Casino in Indiana, Belterra Park in Ohio and the Aliante Casino in North Las Vegas.
The app will be linked to a player’s B Connected loyalty programme card, and can be used to fund or cash out on slot machines.
Boyd aims to roll out the solution across all properties by the summer, although it must first gain regulatory approvals in the necessary jurisdictions.
Boyd’s senior vice president and chief information officer, Blake Rampmaier, said: “Through our innovative partnership with Aristocrat, we will create a unique and seamless payment experience for Boyd Gaming customers, allowing them to use their smartphones to play casino games, cash out, and pay for restaurant meals, show tickets or hotel rooms.
“By going cashless, our customers will be able to avoid the wait times and inconveniences associated with using cash and focus on enjoying their visit to our properties.”
Boyd reported 2020 third-quarter results showing a 20.4 per cent decline in group revenue year-on-year.
