Borgata to take sports bets as soon as possible
The Atlantic City casino said that it will start accepting sports betting on the first day that regulators allow it.
US.- Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa has revealed that it is ready to start accepting bets on sports. The Atlantic City facility said that it will start offering the gambling modality as soon as regulators give them the thumbs up.
Marcus Glover, President of Borgata, said that the parent company MGM Resorts International has decades of experience operating sports betting in Nevada. “As soon as regulatory approvals are in place, we will begin taking sports wagers. Borgata is uniquely prepared to begin operations as the only Atlantic City casino with an existing race book.”
The casino has been talking for a few months about a new facility that would be used to offer sports betting. New Jersey lawmakers are expected to have a law passed and regulations in place in early June.
Atlantic City facilities have voiced their desire to offer sports betting once there is a framework in place. The upcoming two casinos in New Jersey’s gambling hub, Hard Rock Casino & Hotel Atlantic City and Ocean Resorts Casino, are two of the facilities that talked about their plans to start offering sports betting.
