BMM premiers TIER workshop in South Africa
The Technical Infrastructure and Effective Regulation –TIER– workshop was held in May.
South Africa.- From May 9th to 10th, BMM Testlabs –global leader at gaming testing laboratories– ran the first TIER, Technical Infrastructure and Effective Regulation, workshop to provide education and training about technical consultations and casino equipment’s testing.
The event was held with the collaboration of the training committee of the Gaming Regulator Africa Forum –GRAF– at the Monte Casino, in South Africa. Middle managers, compliance officers and inspectors were the main target of the training about upcoming technologies for the gaming sector. The spotlight was on effective regulation proposals, sports betting and daily fantasy sports operations, field audits, internet and remote gaming, signature verifications, cheats and scams.
BMM Testlabs facilitated the workshop through its Technical Compliance Director, Peter Nikiper from Las Vegas, who was assisted by Tashie Moodley, Sales and Acounts Manager from BMM’s South African office.
Penelope Ngcoya, Director of Operations BMM South Africa, commented: “The TIER workshop was a tremendous success. BMM will continue to support the growth of the African Regulatory framework. Attendance was extremely high at this first event, with the regulatory participants traveling from Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Angola, Botswana and the Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West, Eastern Cape, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal provinces from the Republic of South Africa.”
Master Maliro, CEO of the Malawi Gaming Board and Chairperson of the Education and Training Committee, added: “I was very pleased to see participants leaving the TIER Workshop with knowledge about current issues in the gaming industry and importantly real techniques on how to deal with those issues.”
