Bloomberry Resorts posts record figures in 2018

The Asian operator posted record GGR across all segments and reached record EBITDA and net profit in 2018.

Philippines.- 2018 was a record year for Philippine casino operator Bloomberry Resorts. During the twelve months to December 31, the company posted record gross gambling revenues (GGR) across all its segments, which led to record EBITDA and net profit as well.

While GGR reached €865 million, up 14% year-on-year, driven by mass table (up 27% to €258 million) and slots (up 18% to €234 million), full year profit went up 18% to €122 million and net revenue reached €650 million, up 16%.

“I am pleased to report that Bloomberry continues to be a trailblazer in the Philippine gaming and entertainment scene,” Enrique Razon Jr, chairman and CEO at Solaire Resorts said. “We look forward to 2019 and sowing the seeds of our future growth as we anticipate to break ground on our second integrated resort in Quezon City this year.”

During the fourth quarter of 2018, hold normalised EBITDA reached €57.8 million, up 16% year-on-year. GGR gained 29%, as VIP, mass tables and EGM GGR increased 53%, 18% and 10% respectively.
