Betsson completes acquisition of Rhino Entertainment’s Canadian B2C business

The deal adds the CasinoDays brand to Betsafe’s operations in Ontario.

Canada.- Betsson has completed the acquisition of Rhino Entertainment Group’s B2C business in Canada expanding its presence in the market by adding the CasinoDays brand to the operations it already runs through Betsafe in Ontario.

The deal included the customer base, licences, personnel and operational capabilities of the company both in Ontario and the rest of the country. Betsson has also acquired Rhino’s proprietary front-end and middleware technology, which it expects to strengthen its B2B offering and generate additional licensing revenue through its technology division.

Under the terms announced in March, Betsson paid €64.5m for Rhino’s Canadian assets: €51.25m upfront, with the remaining balance due six months after the transaction closes. The acquired business generated an estimated pro forma EBITDA of €13.7m during 2025.

Betsson currently operates the Betsafe brand in Ontario, while Rhino’s CasinoDays brand is licensed in both Ontario and Alberta. Rhino’s B2C business has been sold to Alta Group, Following the announcement, shares in Betsson AB were trading 0.27 per cent lower at SEK 92.00 at close in Stockholm.
