Bet365 reported fiscal year results

Fiscal year’s report of Bet365 reveals that the operator surpassed the £2 billion milestone.

UK.- The British sports betting operator has achieved £2.15 billion in the last fiscal year, as revealed by an official report. The company has proven to be one of the gaming leaders by the latest results, as it became the first “UK online sportsbook and casino operator that surpassed the £2 billion milestone.”

Based on Bet365’s financial report, the company’s gross revenue climbs from US$2.17 billion in its previous period to US$2.83 billion, meaning operations grew 30 percent in the last months. Bet365 operating profits also grew by US$662 million between March 2016 and March 2017. In total, the sportsbook’s increase was of 10 percent on the $600 million Bet365 made in 2015/16.

“Cofounder Denise Coates credited the Euro 2016 soccer tournament as a primary reason that the sports betting handle increased 27 percent. The quadrennial event ran June 10 through July 10, and was hosted by France. Portugal won the tournament, its first UEFA European Championship title,” stated the report.

The annual operations were based on Bet365’s services in Spain, Denmark, Italy, Gibraltar, Malta, Ireland, Australia, Bulgaria, and Cyprus, where the company holds approved gaming licenses. The British group operates casino and sports betting services worldwide.
