bet365 leads Italian sports betting market
The online betting operator generated millionaire numbers according to September figures.
Italy.- According to AGIMEG, an Italian news agency who released the numbers showing all licensed online sports betting operators in the European country, bet365 showed significant growth in the last month with €129 million revenue.
All the operators combined generated €369 million, and the numbers showed an increase of 19 percent compared to the previous month, and a 37 percent increase compared to the same month in 2015. The results indicate that bet365 held more than 35 percent share of the entire market in the country.
Italy is currently one of the highest grossing jurisdictions in Europe, and many operators have entered the European market without withdrawing attention from its original markets. In the last couple of months operators as Codere, Inspired, SBTech and Sky Betting and Gaming have taken the first steps towards establishing their brands in Italy.
