Belarus’ XO casino shuts down

The facility has shut down for renovations but staff members are confident that the facility will remain closed.

Belarus.- XO Casino has revealed that it has temporarily shut down its operations due to a new renovation process. While the facility’s website details its reconstruction, workers are suspicious that the casino won’t reopen its doors.

The message on the casino’s website says that there are currently renovations at the facility, but it also invites players to visit another branch in Batumi, Georgia. Staff members said that the announcement is suspicious, as they were informed a day before the closure that they would not work in the casino anymore, with no previous notice.

While the current situation of the casino is still uncertain – as there hasn’t been an official statement released by casino authorities – staff members believe that the facility won’t operate again.

The gambling industry in Belarus is shifting its operations, as the country is set to open the licensing process for iGaming operators next year. The government expects few online casino companies to apply for licences as it considers that there won’t be a significant number of operators interested in the country.
