Baha Mar to invest in new slot machines
The Bahamas casino is preparing its April soft opening.
Bahamas.- Chow Tai Fook Enterprises announced that the upcoming casino will host a soft opening on April with new slot machines worth US$20 million. The news were announced to a local radio show by the company’s President Graeme Davis.
Davis said that they’re still not sure how many rooms will be available during the soft opening, and he highlighted that construction issues could be one of the reasons why it would affect the number. “We could open anywhere from 200 to 800 rooms. We are making sure we have them completed, finished and making sure that we have enough amenities to support it. The project is not being rushed. I think it’s a great soft opening and you have to open,” he added. The rooms will be managed by the Grand Hyatt.
Back in December, the company announced that they had signed an agreement to acquire and operate Baha Mar Resort. The deal allowed Chow Tai to acquire all capital of Perfect Luck Assets Limited, which set the company as the full owner and operator of the resort.
