Inspire Entertainment Resort to launch entertainment space and poker room in time for WPT Seoul
The World Poker Tour will make its first appearance at South Korea’s Inspire Entertainment Resort in October.
South Korea.- Inspire Entertainment Resort in South Korea will open a new entertainment space and a 70-table poker room in time for WPT Seoul. The World Poker Tour (WPT) will make its debut at the venue from October 30 to November 9 through licensee Khartes.
WPT Seoul will be hosted at the YY Poker Club, a new purpose-built venue with a dedicated livestream studio. The poker room forms part of the new entertainment complex, which will also have an exclusive junket space called Daia and a nightlife venue called Ultra Lounge.
According to Inspire, the new development is intended to position the integrated resort as a premier destination for international entertainment and gaming. The Incheon property already has the largest foreign-only casino in South Korea along with 1,275 rooms across three themed hotel towers and a 15,000-seat performance arena.
The 11-day festival will feature 46 events with buy-ins ranging from KRW300,000 (US$203) to KRW8m (US$5,400). The WPT Seoul Championship Event will run from November 5 to 9 with a KRW1.75m (US$1,185) buy-in and a guaranteed prize pool of KRW1bn (US$677,000).
