{"id":9879,"date":"2020-09-10T22:35:02","date_gmt":"2020-09-10T22:35:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=9879"},"modified":"2026-04-24T01:56:37","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T04:56:37","slug":"victoria-gambling-regulator-issues-three-year-plan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/victoria-gambling-regulator-issues-three-year-plan","title":{"rendered":"Victoria gambling regulator issues three-year plan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The VCGLR has presented a plan outlining goals for 2020 &#8211; 23.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Australia.-&nbsp;The&nbsp;Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation (VCGLR) has issued its corporate plan for the years 2030 to 2023.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The commission details plans to focus on four areas: building high levels of confidence within the gambling and liquor industry, influencing compliance levels across the state, delivering high quality services and operating with long-term operational sustainability.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>VCGLR Chief Executive Officer Catherine Myers said \u201cAs a result of the recent bushfires and <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/tab-victoria-closes-60-of-shops-in-new-lockdown\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, we have adopted an increasingly agile approach to the way we regulate in order to meet community expectations and support industry on its recovery journey\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We recognise that different sectors will&nbsp;face significant and unique challenges as&nbsp;they adapt and adjust business models to deal with the social and economic challenges and as they identify new opportunities.
