Run via Malta-licensed subsidiary The Multi Group, the Swedish operation accounted for 61.3 per cent of the group&#8217;s revenue in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Total net revenues for H1 fell 62.9 per cent year-on-year to RMB3.6 million (US$500,000), exacerbated by the suspension of sporting events and sports lottery operations in China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The firm said at the time of releasing results: \u201cThe year-over-year decrease was mainly attributable to a decrease of RMB6.6 million (US$965,773) resulting from the temporary suspension of operations in Sweden.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company was also recently involved in a <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/japanese-lawmaker-accepted-%c2%a51-million-from-chinese-operator\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bribery scandal<\/a><\/em><\/strong> in relation to integrated resorts in Japan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Chinese lottery provider&#8217;s licence had been suspended in January after failing to complete the renewal process before the deadline.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":9846,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"Chinese lottery provider 500.com has secured a two-year renewal for its MultiLotto brand's secondary lottery and casino license in Sweden, following a suspension due to a missed renewal deadline.
