{"id":8346,"date":"2020-07-22T22:10:54","date_gmt":"2020-07-22T22:10:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/?p=8346"},"modified":"2026-04-24T03:25:47","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T06:25:47","slug":"pcso-lotto-draws-return-in-august","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/pcso-lotto-draws-return-in-august","title":{"rendered":"PCSO lotto draws return in August"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>For now the PCSO will hold \u201ccatch-up draws\u201d for tickets sold before lockdown measures began on March 17.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p>Philippines.- The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office says it has received clearance from President Rodrigo Duterte to resume lotto games as of August 4 after a three-month suspension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Operations are only allowed to restart in areas <strong><em><a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/manila-extends-quarantine-until-end-of-july\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">under general community quarantine (GCQ) and modified<\/a><\/em><\/strong> community quarantine (GCQ).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lotto shops will also have to comply with health protocols established by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, maintaining social distance and using face masks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agency will eventually sell Lotto 6\/42 and Megalotto 6\/45 tickets at PHP20 but for now will hold \u201ccatch-up draws\u201d for lotto tickets bought prior to the suspension of operations on March 17, Philippine News Agency reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>PCSO General Manager Royina Marzan-Garma said the draws will begin on July 20 and will continue for about 15 days, with two draws on some days. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said: &#8220;We wish to emphasize that the PCSO has not resumed its regular gaming operations.
