Cambodia.- Tim McNally, chairman of NagaCorp, says the company’s first impression of the reopening of its NagaWorld casino this week was positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The operator gained permission from the Cambodian government to resume VIP and gaming machine operations at the casino from Wednesday. It said it would reopen as a trial to test the scale of demand and see how favourable the market was for reopening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The reopening was also seen as a <\/a>pilot<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong> for protocol<\/a><\/em><\/strong> measures that could be followed by other casinos in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n McNally told GGRAsia he was pleased with the public\u2019s response to the reopening and that he was expecting visits to increase in the next few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He said the company was complying with the strict prevention measures ordered by the government, such as temperature screenings on all guests and employees, wearing of face masks, and increased disinfection schedules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The casino also had to designate five isolation rooms for prevention measures in case of any health issues with guests and must inform the Ministry of Health of any Covid-19 cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As the only casino in Phnom Penh city centre, and the biggest private sector investment in the Cambodian gaming industry with 8,500 employees, NagaWorld is the first casino in Cambodia to reopen and could serve as a template for others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" NagaCorp says its first impression of the Cambodian casino’s reopening this week is positive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":8005,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"is_press_release":false,"is_interview":false,"is_opinion":false,"focusai_summary":"NagaCorp's NagaWorld casino in Cambodia has commenced a trial reopening of its VIP and gaming machine operations, reporting positive initial impressions.
