In addition, the so-called&nbsp;\u2018underground lotteries\u2019&nbsp;generated <strong>\u20ac 4,6 billion<\/strong>. And the state-run lottery&#8217;s sales ranked no higher than third at <strong>\u20ac 4,5 billion<\/strong>. Card games were also popular among local gamblers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thailand\u2019s gamblers have long complained about the unappealing <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/thailand-lottery-reformed\"><em><strong>government-approved lottery options<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, both in terms of prizes awarded and variety of games. The government has occasionally responded by vowing to\u00a0boost the state-run lottery\u2019s appeal\u00a0through new products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thai authorities continue to\u00a0crack down on operators<em>\u00a0<\/em>serving gamblers without local permission. Last August, Thai authorities warned <strong>3.3 million citizens<\/strong> that the safety of their\u00a0personal information had likely been compromised.
