The South Korean operator launches the Over-Immersion Gatekeeper Training programme to equip frontline employees with early intervention and support referral skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

South Korea.- Kangwon Land has held a staff training programme<\/strong> focused on identifying signs of excessive gambling and improving early intervention and access to support services. The session took place at the High1 Resort Grand Hotel as part of the company’s Over-Immersion Gatekeeper Training programme<\/strong>, which aims to equip frontline employees with the knowledge and practical skills needed to recognise potential gambling-related harm among casino customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Case studies were used to highlight behavioural warning signs associated with excessive gambling in a bid to help employees identify situations in which intervention may be necessary. Participants received guidance on initial response procedures, including how to approach customers showing signs of excessive engagement, explain available protection measures and refer them to professional counselling services available through the Kangwon Land Mindful Care Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training initiative will continue on November 23 with a lecture by Seo Min-soo<\/strong>, head of the Education Centre at the Police Human Resources Development Institute. Kangwon Land also plans to incorporate digital educational materials developed jointly with the Korea Gambling Problem Prevention and Treatment Institute into its internal online training platform. <\/p>\n\n\n
