China.- The president of MGM Hospitality Group <\/strong>(Asia Pacific) has said that the group will work with parent company MGM China Holdings to develop new cultural tourism experiences in Macau and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. In an interview with Chinese-language newspaper Macao Daily News, Fred Zhou Feng<\/strong> said the company could use MGM Resorts\u2019 international network to explore new international visitor markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MGM Hospitality Group, formerly known as Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality<\/strong>, began nearly two decades ago as a joint venture between China\u2019s Diaoyutai State Guesthouse and MGM Resorts International. On June 30, MGM China completed the acquisition of the stake held by its US. parent, MGM Resorts, for US$20m, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The group operates Bellagio by MGM, MGM Reserve, MGM, Mirage by MGM, Mhub by MGM and mx by MGM. It currently has 1.6 million hotel members<\/strong>. Zhou said the membership base consists mainly of \u201cyoung\u201d consumers born in the 1980s and 1990s. The group\u2019s latest property, MGM Shenzhen Prince Bay<\/strong>, held its opening ceremony on Thursday, attended by senior executives from MGM China.<\/p>\n\n\n
