Singapore.- The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS)<\/strong> has reported that Singapore gambling tax collections reached SGD3.6bn (US$2.84bn) in the financial year ended March 31, 2026. That’s 11.9 per cent increase year-on-year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The figure covers gambling duties and casino tax on revenue from Singapore\u2019s two casino resorts, Marina Bay Sands and Resorts World Sentosa<\/strong>. The IRAS does not provide a separate breakdown of te separate duties. Together they represented 3.7 per cent of Singapore\u2019s total tax revenue during the year. Overall tax collections reached a record SGD97.3bn (US$76.8bn), up 9.4 per cent from the previous year. The IRAS attributed this to stronger economic activity and consumer spending.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corporate income tax remained the largest contributor, generating SGD34.4bn (US$27.1bn) and representing 35.4 per cent of total collections. Goods and services tax brought in SGD21.7bn (US$17.1bn), while individual income tax contributed SGD20.9bn (US$16.5bn). Property tax and stamp duty generated SGD6.9bn (US$5.44bn) and SGD7.3bn (US$5.76bn), respectively, and withholding tax SGD2.5bn (US$1.97bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IRAS commissioner Ow Fook Chuen<\/strong> said it has been a strong fiscal year and that the agency maintained a cost of collection of 0.63 cents for every dollar collected.<\/p>\n\n\n
