South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure (GKL)<\/strong> has reported that it generated KRW31.1bn (US$22.9m) from its casinos in August. Casino revenue declined 11.3 per cent year-on-year and 25.4 per cent from July, according to figures filed with the Korea Exchange.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Table games accounted for KRW27.8bn (US$20.5m), down 10.8 per cent from August 2025 and 26.9 per cent from the previous month. Machine-game revenue fell 15.4 per cent year-on-year and 9.8 per cent month-on-month to KRW3.3bn (US$2.4m). The casino drop increased 7.2 per cent year-on-year and 5 per cent from July to KRW341.4bn (US$251.2m). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At property level, Seoul Dragon City<\/strong> generated KRW12.85bn (US$9.46m), down around 10 per cent year-on-year and 2 per cent from July. The Gangnam venue recorded KRW12.41bn (US$9.13m), a 13.3 per cent annual decline and a 43.1 per cent monthly drop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For January to August, casino revenue reached almost KRW300bn (US$220.9m), 5.6 per cent higher than the corresponding period of 2025. Second-quarter results<\/a> showed consolidated revenue up 19.3 per cent year-on-year to KRW120.5bn (US$88.7m), while operating profit rose 30.5 per cent to KRW20.8bn (US$15.3m).<\/p>\n\n\n
