South Korean integrated resort operator reported higher revenue in the first half of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

South Korea.- Shin Hwa World Ltd, the operator of Jeju Shinhwa World<\/strong> in South Korea, narrowed its net loss attributable to shareholders by 72.1 per cent year-on-year in the first half of 2026. The company posted a net loss of HK$68.3m (US$8.8m) for the six months ended June 30, compared with HK$244.4m (US$31.3m) in the same period last year. Consolidated revenue<\/strong> rose 17.8 per cent year-on-year to HK$483.5m (US$62m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gaming revenue<\/strong> increased 14.6 per cent to HK$71m (US$9.1m). Shin Hwa World attributed the increase to higher non-rolling volumes. However, the gaming segment’s deficit widened to HK$66.4m (US$8.5m), compared with HK$59.6m (US$7.6m) in the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Non-gaming revenue<\/strong> rose to HK$412.5m (US$52.9m), up from HK$348.4m in the prior-year period. Revenue from the integrated resort segment, excluding gaming, increased 20.9 per cent year-on-year to HK$362.6m (US$46.5m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The integrated resort segment\u2019s loss narrowed to HK$15.9m (US$2m), compared with HK$130m (US$16.7m) a year earlier. The company attributed the improvement to a refined sales and marketing strategy, facility enhancements and an increase in tourist arrivals to Jeju during the first half of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shin Hwa World operates the foreigner-only Les A Casino at Jeju Shinhwa World<\/strong>, formerly known as Landing Casino. The property has 179 gaming tables and 65 slot machines and electronic gaming devices across 5,500 square metres of gaming space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
