Gokongwei<\/strong> as its new chairman following the <strong>resignation of Crisanto Alcid<\/strong> as chairman and chief executive officer. The appointment comes after Gokongwei <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/philweb-appoints-lance-gokongwei-to-board\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">joined PhilWeb\u2019s board in July<\/a>, weeks after confirming a personal investment of PHP2.03bn (US$32.6m) in the listed gaming technology company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to PhilWeb, Gokongwei will serve as chairman for the remainder of Alcid\u2019s current term.
