The company\u2019s Asia Pacific operations expanded as North American revenue fell by more than a third during the period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Australia.- Ainsworth Game Technology <\/strong>has recorded a 23 per cent drop in first-half revenue to A$116.5m (US$83.7m), after weaker trading in North America offset growth in its Asia Pacific operations. Statutory profit after tax fell 78 per cent to A$1.1m (US$800,000), while underlying profit before tax declined 66 per cent to A$4.7m (US$3.4m). Underlying EBITDA fell 36 per cent to A$17.1m (US$12.3m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

North American revenue fell 38 per cent to A$51.9m (US$37.3m). AGT attributed the decline to weaker trading conditions, limited new product releases and regulatory changes, including the removal of Historical Horse Racing <\/strong>machines in New Hampshire<\/strong>. Units placed under participation and lease in the region dropped to 2,360 from 2,961 in the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An increase in gaming tax in Mexico<\/strong> from 30 per cent to 50 per cent in January also contributed to the decline. The group had 5,644 machines in operation at June 30, compared with 6,091 at the end of December.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Asia Pacific revenue rose 7 per cent to A$36.9m (US$26.5m). AGT attributed the performance to demand for its A-STAR Raptor range, while its segment profit margin increased to 25 per cent. The company\u2019s Double Dragons and Loot Express <\/strong>titles also performed above floor averages after launch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Latin America and Europe<\/strong> generated A$25.4m (US$18.2m) in revenue, down from A$31.6m (US$22.7m) in the first half of 2025. AGT attributed weaker sales in several key markets to geopolitical conditions, although average daily yield from machines increased to US$13 from US$12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AGT\u2019s online business also declined, with revenue falling to A$2.3m (US$1.7m) from A$2.8m (US$2.0m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company said it will prioritise increasing product releases in the second half, particularly in North America. Dragon Legacy<\/strong> is scheduled to enter Class 2 and HHR markets<\/strong> in September, while the company plans to expand its A865 cabinet<\/strong> into Latin America and North America<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
