Stronger hold rates lifted gaming revenue and cost management initiatives helped drive a 35 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated EBITDA.

The Philippine gaming operator reported consolidated GGR of PHP16.4bn (US$287.2m) for the three months ended June 30, up 15 per cent from PHP14.3bn (US$250.4m) in the same period last year. Higher hold rates across all gaming segments supported the increase, although Bloomberry noted that underlying demand remained weak in the VIP and premium mass segments. Net revenue rose 11 per cent year-on-year to PHP14.1bn (US$246.9m), compared with PHP12.7bn (US$222.4m) in the second quarter of 2025.

Consolidated EBITDA reached PHP3.4bn (US$59.5m), up 35 per cent from PHP2.5bn (US$43.8m) a year earlier. Bloomberry reported a consolidated net loss of PHP345.3m (US$6m), compared with a PHP1.4bn (US$24.5m) loss in the second quarter of 2025.

For the first six months of 2026, consolidated GGR stood at PHP31.1bn (US$544.7m), unchanged from the previous year. Net revenue increased 1 per cent to PHP27.2bn (US$476.4m), while consolidated EBITDA declined 7 per cent to PHP6.4bn (US$112.1m). Bloomberry posted a first-half net loss of PHP470.3m (US$8.2m), compared with net income of PHP1.9bn (US$33.3m) in the first half of 2025.

Bloomberry chairman and CEO Enrique K. Razon Jr. said: “We delivered GGR growth in the second-quarter, supported by stronger hold rates across our gaming operations. However, underlying demand in the VIP and premium mass segments remained soft. Assertive cost management complemented higher revenues, driving EBITDA growth both sequentially and year-on-year.”

“Our focus on operating efficiency continues to drive results. Despite a challenging macroeconomic environment characterised by elevated oil prices, higher interest rates, and a weaker peso, we limited cash operating expense growth to just 5 per cent and 3 per cent for the quarter and the first half, respectively, underscoring the effectiveness of our cost optimisation initiatives.”

The company also highlighted its digital strategy, following the recent commercial launch of FUNaloMax on its proprietary platform. Solaire Online is expected to join the same platform in the coming weeks.

Solaire Resort Entertainment City (SEC) generated GGR of PHP11.5bn (US1.4m) in the second quarter, up 18 per cent year-on-year. VIP GGR jumped 81 per cent to PHP2.6bn (US$45.5m) while mass table GGR rose 8 per cent to PHP4.2bn (US$73.6m).

At Solaire Resort Quezon City (SQC), GGR increased 9 per cent to PHP4.9bn (US$85.8m). VIP GGR rose 122 per cent to PHP460m (US.1m), supported by a hold rate of 5.38 per cent. The mass table drop declined 23 per cent to PHP5.4bn (US$94.6m), and mass table GGR fell 5 per cent to PHP1.8bn (US$31.5m).

Solaire Korea’s Jeju Sun recorded net revenue of PHP159.2m (US$2.8m), up 24 per cent year-on-year. Non-gaming revenue increased 32 per cent to PHP121.9m (US$2.1m) in what was the venue’s first full quarter following Jeju Sun’s exit from the casino business. The property generated EBITDA of PHP2.8m (US$49,000), compared to an LBITDA of PHP41.4m in the second quarter of 2025. It’s the first time the property has reported positive EBITDA since Bloomberry acquired it in 2015.

   See also:

See also: DigiPlus reports lower Q2 GGR but higher earnings and EBITDA

Bloomberry Resorts Corporation reported a consolidated net loss of US$6m in the second quarter.

Bloomberry Resorts Corporation reported a narrowed Q2 2026 net loss of US$6m, driven by a 15% GGR increase and 35% EBITDA growth, primarily due to stronger hold rates and robust cost management despite soft VIP and premium mass demand.
