Total spending by overnight visitors reached MOP32.41bn (US$4.14bn), while same-day visitors spent MOP12.05bn (US$1.54bn), representing increases of 8 per cent and 53.5 per cent, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Per-capita non-gaming spending was MOP2,123 (US$271) in the first half, an increase of 7.8 per cent year-on-year. Per-capita spending by overnight visitors reached MOP4,024 (US$513), while same-day visitors spent MOP935 (US$119). The figures rose by 7.7 per cent and 33.2 per cent, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By <strong>type of expense<\/strong>, visitors spent mainly on shopping, which accounted for 46 per cent of total spending, followed by accommodation at 22.3 per cent and food and beverages at 21.5 per cent. Visitors travelling to the Macao Special Administrative Region for MICE events recorded relatively high per-capita spending of MOP4,593 (US$586).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By <strong>source market<\/strong>, per-capita non-gaming spending by visitors from mainland China reached MOP2,361 (US$301), while Hong Kong visitors spent MOP1,170 (US$149). Spending by visitors from Taiwan stood at MOP1,888 (US$241), while international visitors recorded per-capita spending of MOP2,110 (US$269).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among Northeast Asian markets, per-capita spending by visitors from South Korea reached MOP2,489 (US$318), up 20.3 per cent, while Japanese visitors spent MOP2,326 (US$297), up 31.2 per cent year-on-year. Among Southeast Asian markets, visitors from Singapore recorded per-capita spending of MOP3,465 (US$442), followed by Malaysia at MOP1,850 (US$236) and Thailand at MOP2,081 (US$266).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the <strong>second quarter of 2026<\/strong>, total non-gaming spending by visitors rose 9.8 per cent year-on-year to MOP20.04bn (US$2.56bn). Overnight visitors accounted for MOP15.16bn (US$1.93bn), while same-day visitors spent MOP4.87bn (US$621m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, per-capita non-gaming spending reached MOP2,059 (US$263) in the second quarter, up 5.6 per cent year-on-year.
