PAGCOR has reported US$1.45bn in gross gaming revenue for the second quarter of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The Philippines.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has reported that the Philippine gaming industry generated PHP88.13bn (US$1.45bn) in gross gaming revenue (GGR)<\/strong> in the second quarter of 2026. The figure was down 20.3 per cent from the PHP110.63bn reported in the same period of 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the agency, the decline was largely due to weaker revenue from the electronic gaming segment as well as inflation and renewed tensions in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Licensed casinos remained the industry\u2019s largest revenue contributor during the period, generating PHP45.37bn (US$474m), or 51.49 per cent of total GGR. The electronic gaming sector, which includes E-Games, E-Bingo, bingo and poker, contributed PHP39.85bn, accounting for 45.21 per cent of the industry total. Casinos operated by PAGCOR generated PHP2.90bn, representing 3.30 per cent of second quarter GGR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alejandro H. Tengco<\/strong>, PAGCOR chairman and CEO, expressed optimism that the industry would rebound, citing operators\u2019 efforts to improve services. \u201cPAGCOR remains committed to implementing measures that will help increase GGR and further strengthen the industry\u2019s performance. We will continue working with our stakeholders to ensure that the gaming industry remains a meaningful contributor to nation-building,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, PAGCOR reported that its total revenue declined by 26.64 per cent<\/a> in the first half of 2026 due to lower earnings from gaming operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
