Vietnam.- A consortium has proposed a US$3bn to US$3.5bn mixed-use development in Hanoi featuring a casino and the world’s tallest twin towers. The investor group, comprising Kim Lien Tourism JSC, Thaiholdings JSC and Thai Son Construction Investment JSC is seeking planning approval to build Hanoi Twin Towers 99<\/strong> on a 34,936-square-metre site<\/strong> on Dao Duy Anh Street. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proposal, submitted to the Hanoi People’s Committee in early July, includes two 568-metre towers with 99 above-ground floors and six basement levels. If completed, the complex would surpass Malaysia’s Petronas Towers as the tallest twin towers in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plans for the project include an international convention centre, performing arts venue, shopping mall, office space, luxury residences, a six-star hotel and a casino. The proposal also includes a digital art museum, tropical sky gardens, a sky ballroom and helicopter landing pads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the consortium, the project would be financed entirely through the investors’ own resources and funding secured from international financial institutions. Construction would be expected to be completed by the third or fourth quarter of 2030. No details have been disclosed regarding the size, operator or licensing plans for the proposed casino. The project remains subject to approval by Hanoi authorities before development can begin.<\/p>\n\n\n
