The Philippines.- Police have charged a pit supervisor at Solaire Resort North<\/strong> with qualified theft. The 33-year-old is accused of allegedly manipulating the casino\u2019s loyalty programme by awarding nearly 9,900 gaming points<\/strong> to inactive VIP accounts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Quezon City Police District (QCPD)<\/strong> said suspect identified only by the alias \u201cJovim<\/strong>,\u201d was arrested on July 13 at the casino in Barangay Bagong Pag-asa, Quezon City, following an internal investigation by the resort. It said the casino\u2019s investigation found CCTV footage and system records allegedly showing the pit supervisor assigning player ratings to two Diamond-tier accounts despite no gaming activity taking place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Investigators said the points were awarded over a two-hour period when gaming tables under the suspect\u2019s supervision had already closed. The casino\u2019s management reported the findings to Project 6 Police Station. Qualified theft charges under Article 310<\/strong> of the Philippines\u2019 Revised Penal Code<\/strong> have been filed before the Quezon City Prosecutor\u2019s Office, and the case will proceed with inquest proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n QCPD director Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio<\/strong> urged businesses to report suspected internal fraud to law enforcement, while NCRPO regional director PMGen Anthony Aberin<\/strong> reaffirmed the police\u2019s commitment to protecting the integrity of business and tourism establishments.<\/p>\n\n\n
