The recognition strengthens Greater Bay Area vocational education cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Hong Kong.- The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) has announced that its six Certificate Racing Programmes<\/strong> have been integrated into the Guangdong Qualifications Framework<\/strong>. The move means that graduates will receive formal recognition across the Greater Bay Area, improving employment opportunities, career progression and access to further education in Guangdong Province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The integration was completed following a review conducted by the Guangdong Academic Credit Bank, including an on-site assessment at Conghua Racecourse in June. The announcement was made during a ceremony at the Guangdong Vocational Institute of Sport (GDVIS), where the Club also inaugurated its new Horse Racing Culture Courtyard<\/strong>. The new facility is designed to enhance practical training and promote horse racing culture as part of a school-enterprise cooperation model supporting talent development across the Greater Bay Area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event brought together representatives from the Hong Kong SAR Government, Guangdong education authorities, GDVIS, Guangdong Open University and HKJC. They said the collaboration is expected to serve as a model for integrating other Hong Kong vocational education programmes into the mainland qualifications system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Jeff Sze<\/strong>, Under Secretary for Education of the Hong Kong SAR Government, said the initiative aligns with Hong Kong\u2019s efforts to support China\u2019s 15th Five-Year Plan and the national strategy to strengthen vocational education, technology and skilled workforce development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Andrew Harding<\/strong>, executive director, Racing at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, highlighted the growing recognition of Hong Kong\u2019s vocational education programmes in Guangdong and said the opening of the Horse Racing Culture Courtyard complements the existing Horse Racing Multi-Function Room<\/strong> at GDVIS, He said the initiatives will help build talent to support regular international-standard racing at Conghua Racecourse, scheduled to begin this year, while contributing to the development of world-class equine sports in the Greater Bay Area..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
