Operators will be able to submit expressions of interest as the country moves towards a regulated market with up to 15 licences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

New Zealand.- The Department of Internal Affairs (DIA) has confirmed that expressions of interest in New Zealand online casino licences<\/a> will be accepted from July 17 until August 14. Only operators that complete this initial stage will be eligible to participate in the subsequent licence auction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government plans to issue up to 15 online casino licences for the regulated market ahead of a December 1 launch. Applicants will be required to submit detailed corporate and financial information, including ownership and management structures, proof of funding, certified credit reports and background checks for key executives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The three-stage licensing process will be conducted through New Zealand\u2019s Government Electronic Tenders platform. Companies already serving New Zealand players without a local licence will need to secure regulatory approval to continue operating legally once the new regime is fully implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n
