The Digital Economy and Society Ministry and broadcaster Mono Next have announced new cooperative measures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Thailand.- The Thai Digital Economy and Society (DE) Ministry<\/strong> has reported that its Illegal Website Monitoring Centre blocked 12,671 URLs<\/strong> linked to online gambling and piracy between June 10 and 24<\/strong>. Of those, 4,496 URLs<\/strong> were blocked through court orders, while 8,175<\/strong> were removed in cooperation with major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X and YouTube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The figures were released following a meeting between Deputy Minister Nan Boontida Somchai<\/strong> and Mono Next<\/strong> CEO Nawamin Prasopnet<\/strong>, during they agreed to strengthen collaboration to combat illegal online platforms. As the official broadcaster of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and the English Premier League in Thailand, Mono Next said it would integrate its data with the ministry’s monitoring centre to help identify violations more quickly and accelerate website takedowns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the DE Ministry, authorities are conducting 24-hour monitoring throughout the World Cup. It encouraged the public to report illegal gambling websites through its dedicated hotline and online reporting channels.<\/p>\n\n\n
