Authorities and the developers behind Japan\u2019s first integrated resort say unauthorised websites are using the MGM Osaka name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Japan.- Osaka Prefecture and the development team behind MGM Osaka<\/a> have issued a public warning over websites falsely claiming to be affiliated with Japan\u2019s first integrated resort project. A joint statement stresses.that MGM Osaka does not operate, promote or advertise online casino services and has no connection to the websites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MGM Osaka is being developed by Orix Corporation and MGM Resorts International and is scheduled to open in 2030<\/a>. According to local reports, a number of Japanese-language websites have appeared using domain names that combine terms such as \u201cMGM,\u201d \u201cOsaka,\u201d \u201cJapan,\u201d and \u201ccasino,\u201d creating the impression that they are linked to the future resort. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sites offer access to online casino games, including slots and baccarat and claim to provide thousands of titles. Officials warned that the websites could direct users to overseas online gambling services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sites reportedly advertise support for Japanese players, accept wagers in Japanese yen and cryptocurrencies, and claim to operate under licences issued in Cura\u00e7ao. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities reiterated that online casinos remain prohibited under Japanese law and encouraged residents to verify the legitimacy of any gaming-related websites that claim links to the future integrated resort.<\/p>\n\n\n
