Thailand.- Thai cyber police have detained a woman accused of managing operations for PHAYAK789, a website authorities say handled more than THB500m (US$15.1m) in annual transactions. The arrest took place on June 20 in Muak Lek district, Saraburi province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) officers seized a laptop, mobile phone and other electronic equipment. According to investigators, PHAYAK789 had been active for more than three years and built a membership base exceeding 20,000 users. The platform reportedly generated over THB40m (US$1.2m) in monthly turnover, equivalent to more than THB500m each year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities said the website offered a range of gambling products, including football betting, lotteries, baccarat, slot games and other wagering. Deposits and withdrawals were processed through automated banking systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Police identified the suspect as a 31-year-old woman who allegedly worked as a website administrator. Investigators said her responsibilities included assisting customer registrations, responding to user enquiries, processing transactions and providing guidance on the platform\u2019s betting services. She reportedly told police she had worked for the operation for more than two years and received a monthly salary of THB25,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspect faces charges related to promoting and facilitating unauthorised online gambling activities. Investigations are continuing as police seek to identify and apprehend other individuals linked to the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
