Tourist arrivals in Macau surpassed the 20 million mark 18 days earlier than in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- The Public Security Police Force<\/strong> has reported that the number of visitor arrivals to Macau reached 20 million <\/strong>on June 20. The milestone was achieved 18 days earlier than in 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Macau has received an average of 116,000 visitors per day<\/strong> so far this year, a 10.2 per cent increase compared with the same period in 2025.\u00a0Some 14.639 million arrivals out of the 20 million recorded between January 1 and Saturday afternoon were from the Chinese mainland, while 3.461 million were from Hong Kong, 541,000 from Taiwan and 1.363 million from international markets. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among foreign outbound markets, South Korea led with 270,000, followed by 260,000 from the Philippines. The Border Gate remained the busiest entry point, followed by the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge Macau Port, Hengqin Port and Macau International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The number of visitor arrivals to Macau reached 40,069,360 in 2025<\/a>, up 14.7 per cent compared to 2024. The\u00a0Statistics and Census Service (DSEC)\u00a0reported that in the\u00a0first four months of 2026<\/a>, the number of visitor arrivals was up by 13.1 per cent year-on-year to 14,655,300. Same-day visitors (9,103,273) and overnight visitors (5,552,027) grew by 20.1 per cent and 3.3 per cent respectively. During the Labour Day Golden Week<\/a>, Macau saw an all-time single-day visitation record of 248,000 arrivals on May 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
