The operator is pushing ahead with two other major resort projects in Newport and Entertainment City.

The Philippines.- Alliance Global Group (AGI) has allocated PHP62bn (US$1.02bn) in capital spending for 2026, with Travellers International Hotel Group, operator of Newport World Resorts, positioned as a key recipient as the group scales its integrated resort and tourism footprint in the Philippines.

The update was disclosed during AGI’s annual stockholders’ meeting, where president and CEO Kevin L. Tan outlined the group’s financial position and operating strategy for the year. He said the group entered 2026 with a “strong balance sheet and sufficient liquidity,” supported by “healthy cash positions and well-managed debt” across subsidiaries.

Within the gaming and hospitality segment, Travellers International continues to anchor its strategy on Newport World Resorts while pushing ahead with its two other projects, including Narra Palm Resort and Villas in Newport and Westside Resorts Manila in Entertainment City, scheduled for opening in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Tan said gaming performance at the facility is increasingly driven by the mass segment, which provides steadier results than VIP play, noting that the company is prioritising mass-market demand while maintaining tighter control over VIP exposure.

He added that this approach is supporting stronger non-gaming revenue generation at Newport World Resorts, including hotels, retail, dining, and events, alongside continued growth in digital gaming investment.

Tan concluded: “We are also growing our presence in the digital gaming space, which is becoming an increasingly important channel.”
