Australia.- The Star Entertainment Group<\/strong> has named Ameet Patel<\/strong> as dual chief executive officer of its two Queensland integrated resorts, The Star Brisbane<\/strong> and The Star Gold Coast<\/strong>, in the latest move of an ongoing executive overhaul driven by the group’s new major shareholders. The company made the announcement through its official LinkedIn account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Patel is a senior executive with broad experience across gaming, hospitality and operations leadership in multiple regions, with expertise spanning strategic planning, process redesign, financial analysis, talent development and operational efficiencies. His career includes senior roles at Bally’s Corporation, Penn National and Sun International, with a consistent focus on growth, stakeholder relations and team building in highly regulated environments. He has also overseen all aspects of gaming operations across multiple US markets, including strategic initiatives, operational standards and day-to-day performance.<\/p>\n\n\n Bruce Mathieson Jr<\/strong>, group CEO and managing director, welcomed Patel: \u201cWe look forward to working with Ameet as we continue to strengthen our leadership capability across The Star,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The appointment is the latest in a series of executive moves since Bally’s Corporation and the Mathieson family’s Investment Holdings<\/a> converted a AU$300m (US$196m) rescue package into equity in late 2025, securing a combined 61 per cent controlling stake. Fellow former Bally’s executive John Koster was named CEO of The Star Sydney<\/a> in March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
