Malaysia.- Police in Malaysia have dismantled an illegal gambling and mini casino operation running from a luxury condominium unit in Bukit Jalil<\/strong> following a raid on Saturday (June 13).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lim Chun How<\/strong>, Cheras district deputy police chief, said the operation was carried out by officers from the Cheras district police headquarters\u2019 Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division under Ops Noda\/Dadu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the operation, authorities arrested some 15 people aged between 21 and 44, including 12 local men, two local women and one Vietnamese woman. Officers also recovered gambling-related items, including a casino table, hundreds of chips, playing cards, laptops, a karaoke system and nearly RM4,904 (US$1,210) in cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Police also discovered four transparent packets containing a white substance suspected to be cocaine, weighing around 10.11g, believed to be linked to one of the suspects who is wanted in connection with a drug case in Pulau Tikus, Penang<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lim said the suspects are being investigated under multiple laws, including the Entertainment (Federal Territory) Act 1992, the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 and the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
