The figure was up 14.6 per cent year-on-year and represents 46 per cent of the full-year budget target.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gaming taxes accounted for nearly 85 per cent of government revenue in the five months to May 31. Under the 10-year concessions that came into effect on January 1, 2023, casinos pay 40 per cent on GGR. The Macau government\u2019s 2026 fiscal budget plan estimates that income from taxes on the gaming sector will reach MOP92.53bn (US$11.52bn) this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) reported that Macau\u2019s gross gaming revenue (GGR) was\u00a0MOP22.61bn (US$2.8bn)\u00a0in May.\u00a0Gaming tax revenue reached MOP7.65bn (US$948m), down 15.6 per cent from <a href=\"https:\/\/focusgn.com\/asia-pacific\/macau-gaming-tax-revenue-up-16-9-january-april\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">April<\/a>.
