The campaign, led by the <strong>Gambling Control Commission<\/strong> (GCC), will run through July 31, encouraging the public to report illegal betting sites targeting South Korean users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the scheme, people can receive KRW10,000 (US$6.50) for each report that leads to a site being blocked. The reward increases to KRW50,000 (US$32) when reports include bank account information linked to the operator. Monthly payments are capped at KRW600,000 (US$391) per person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reports can be submitted through a dedicated online platform or a national hotline and will be reviewed in cooperation with the National Police Agency and the Korea Communications Standards Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GCC chairman <strong>Choi Byung-hwan<\/strong> said the initiative aims to ensure the World Cup remains a \u201chealthy sports festival\u201d free from illegal gambling.
