The Macao Government Tourism Office expects another strong peak travel season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- Visitor arrivals in Macau could increase by around 10 per cent year-on-year during this year\u2019s summer holiday season, according to Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO)<\/strong>. Director Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes<\/strong> expressed confidence in the destination\u2019s continued tourism recovery and appeal among mainland Chinese and international travellers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking on the radio service of public broadcaster TDMO, Fernandes said the tourism authority expects solid growth compared to the same period in 2025, supported by events, enhanced tourism offerings and continued demand from key source markets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0Statistics and Census Service (DSEC)\u00a0reported that in the\u00a0first four months of 2026<\/a>, the number of visitor arrivals was up by 13.1 per cent year-on-year to 14,655,300. Same-day visitors (9,103,273) and overnight visitors (5,552,027) grew by 20.1 per cent and 3.3 per cent respectively. The number of international visitors totalled 1,009,892, up by 10.7 per cent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
