Asia.- The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM) Index<\/strong> rose by 54.38 points month-on-month to 1,578.22 in May 2026<\/strong>. The result represents a 3.6 per cent increase compared with April<\/a>, although the index remained down 9.4 per cent, or 162.96 points, from May 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seven of the nine companies included in the index saw stock price increases during the month, resulting in six positive contributions and three negative contributions to the AGEM Index.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The largest positive contributor was Aristocrat Leisure Limited<\/strong>, whose share price increased by 6.0 per cent, adding 37.65 points to the index. Agilysys stock rose 35.1 per cent, contributing 26.28 points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The largest negative contributor was Konami Corp. Although its share price edged up 0.2 per cent during the month, the weakening of the Japanese yen resulted in a 6.56-point decline in its contribution to the AGEM Index.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

US equity markets also saw gains in May. The NASDAQ increased by 8.4 per cent compared with the previous month, while the S&P 500 rose 5.1 per cent. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a 2.8 per cent increase.<\/p>\n\n\n
