GKL has posted casino sales of US$28m for the fifth month of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
South Korea.- Grand Korea Leisure (GKL)<\/strong> has shared its financial results for the month of May. Casino sales were KRW43.13bn (US$28m)<\/strong>, up 40.8 per cent in year-on-year terms and 7.3 per cent month-on-month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Table-game<\/strong> revenue was KRW38.84bn (US$25.2m), up 43.3 per cent from May 2025 and 4.9 per cent compared to April<\/a>. Machine game<\/strong> sales were KRW4.29bn (US$2.8m), up 21.5 per cent year-on-year and 35.5 per cent sequentially.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n For the first five months of the year<\/strong>, Grand Korea Leisure reported casino sales of KRW189.97bn (US$123.4m), up 8.5 per cent compared to the January-May period of 2025. Cumulative table game sales for the first five months of 2026 amounted to KRW172.15bn (US$111.8m), up 7.7 per cent year-on-year, while machine game sales rose 17 per cent to KRW17.83bn (US$11.6m).<\/p>\n\n\n\n GKL operates three foreigner-only casinos<\/strong> under the Seven Luck brand: two in the capital, Seoul (including one in Gangnam) and the other in the southeastern port city of Busan. It operates as a subsidiary of the Korea Tourism Organization, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Recently, the company announced a plan<\/a> to generate casino revenue of KRW503.8bn (US$333.8m) by 2030.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
