The Philippines.- The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has donated seven more patient transport vehicles (PTVs) to local government units (LGUs) and other agencies. The turnover ceremony was held last week at the PAGCOR Corporate Office in Pasay City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newest PTV recipients are the City of Dumaguete in Negros Oriental; the municipalities of Narra in Palawan, Manay in Davao Oriental, and Sibalom in Antique; the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Bureau of Corrections and the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PAGOR has now donated 189 vehicles in total. Alejandro Tengco<\/strong>, PAGCOR chairman and CEO, said the PTV donations would help ensure faster and safer transport of patients during medical emergencies and disaster response operations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

MMDA Road Emergency Group Head Edward Gonzales<\/strong> said: \u201cThis is a big help for us. We respond to 8 to 10 emergencies every day, and this will allow us to pick up patients and transport them to the hospital much more quickly. We are grateful to PAGCOR for providing us with this Patient Transport Vehicle (PTV).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
