Gross gaming revenue reached US$2.8bn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Macau.- The Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) has reported that Macau\u2019s gross gaming revenue (GGR) was MOP22.61bn (US$2.8bn)<\/strong> in May. That\u2019s an increase of 6.7 per cent in year-on-year terms and of 13.7 per cent compared to April<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cumulatively, Macau\u2019s GGR for the five months of 2026<\/strong> was MOP108.38bn (US$13.44bn), up 10.9 per cent year-on-year. However, the figure remains 13.8 per cent below pre-pandemic levels in 2019, when GGR totalled MOP125.69bn (US$15.6bn).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were approximately 873,000 inbound visitor<\/a> arrivals to Macau during mainland China\u2019s Labour Day Golden Week<\/strong> holiday, which ran from May 1 to 5. That\u2019s a rise of 2.7 per cent<\/strong> compared to last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last month, the DICJ announced the reappointment of\u00a0Ng Wai Han<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as its director. She will serve in the position for another year, having assumed the role of DICJ director<\/a>\u00a0for a one-year term on May 7, 2025, replacing\u00a0Adriano Marques Ho<\/strong>.
