The company continues redevelopment works at its New Coast Hotel Manila property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
The Philippines.- International Entertainment Corporation (IEC) has signed a new construction contract worth PHP566.95m (US$9.7m)<\/strong> for renovation works at its New Coast Hotel Manila<\/a>. The renovations are expected to be completed by the end of 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to a filing submitted to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the company\u2019s indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, New Coast Leisure Inc. (NCLI)<\/strong>, entered into contract with local contractor Kimberland Construction <\/strong>on May 28. The contract covers additional renovation and fitting-out works at the property, including fa\u00e7ade lighting, installation of an LED screen for the Pedro Gil canopy, exterior glass replacement, landscaping works, and upgrades to guest rooms and common areas, including ceilings, flooring, plumbing, electrical, fire protection and air-conditioning systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The firm took over casino operations at the hotel in\u00a0May 2024\u00a0<\/strong>and has since refurbished the casino floor and several hotel rooms. Under its\u00a0Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp (PAGCOR)<\/strong>\u00a0provisional licence, it is required to commit an investment of\u00a0no less than US$1bn<\/strong>\u00a0to Manila casino and hotel operations.<\/p>\n\n\n
